Responsibilities:

  • Provide support on well-being (e.g. hygiene) of Kidstart children in designated Kidstart centres
  • Take action on Kidstart children who have irregular attendance
  • Foster good relationships with all Kidstart families
  • Engage Kidstart families to attend centre activities and parenting workshops
  • Deepen support for Kidstart children and families who are at risk, including:
    • Attend case conference
    • Conduct home visits
    • Assist with application of relevant subsidies and assistance
    • Link up families with relevant community resources
  • Work closely with Principals, Teachers, other CSS colleagues and Social Workers to assist Kidstart children and families
  • Form a network of community partners (e.g. FSCs, SSOs) to support Kidstart children and families
  • Achieve ECDA's Kidstart KPI for the designated centres
  • Narrate case stories on how Child Support Model has made a difference to children and families

Requirements:

  • Recognized Diploma in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology or Early Childhood Education
  • At least 3 years of working experience in social or preschool sector
  • Passionate about supporting low income children and families
  • Good spoken and written English and a second language
  • Have initiative, and able to work independently and yet be a good team player
  • Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
