Assistant Manager, Risk Management and Data Protection

We are a Social Enterprise that is seeking a highly motivated & driven professional in the Risk Management and Data Protection functions.

The role will work closely with all departments to strengthen data governance and protection practices in NTUC First Campus (NFC), as well as promote strong risk management culture within NFC.


Job Responsibilities:
1. Work with Data Governance Committee to implement and enforce the data governance framework, policies and procedures
2. Provide secretariat support to the Data Governance Committee meetings
3. Support the implementation of NFC data governance policies and guidelines
4. Provide guidance and oversight on data protection and privacy risk, focusing on areas that present higher data privacy risks and Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) non-compliance risks
5. Develop and review a Data Protection Management Programme (DPMP) that covers policy, processes, and people for the handling of personal data at each stage of the data lifecycle
6. Monitor compliance with PDPA regulations and NFC policies relating to the protection of personal data, including the assignment of responsibilities, staff education and awareness training, and follow-up on remediation of any related audit findings
7. Review and advise on Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA) and monitor performance of mitigations, where necessary
8. Provide incident management advice and/or support as needed and ensure that data incidents and breaches are responded to and managed effectively with data subjects
Plan and develop training and communications materials, including e-learning module to staff
9. Provide support in other risk management areas such as Enterprise Risk Management, Business Continuity Management and Control Self Assessment, as assigned

 

Job Requirements:
1. At least 4 years of relevant experience in data governance, data protection and risk management
2. Good understanding of Singapore’s PDPA
3. Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills to work with cross functional stakeholders of varying seniority
4. Team player with a positive, pragmatic, flexible and creative approach
5. Bachelor Degree
6. Candidates with PDPA Practitioner Certificate in PDP Preparatory Course, CIPP or CIPM (or equivalent) will be favourably considered
