Senior Manager/Assistant Director, Corporate Development

We are a Social Enterprise that is seeking a highly motivated & driven professional in Corporate Planning and Strategy & Transformation functions.
You will lead organisation-wide strategic planning activities, including presenting insights on key market developments, influencing communication with evidence-backed data and facts, and facilitating decision making through recommendations.This role works closely with the CFO and CEO’s office on the organisation’s strategic directions, annual and longer term workplans.
You will also drive special projects which are cross-functional in nature or involve strategic process improvement / innovation efforts. These projects will include commercialisation considerations and comprise piloting and bringing new services to targeted customer segments. You will take a lead role in developing proposals to conceptualise new offerings / expand existing ones. This entails identifying key trends and customer needs to build short to long-term strategic goals, assisting in coordinating or implementing goal plans.

Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate strategic planning activities, which include the organisation and facilitation of regular discussions, workshops and corporate planning retreats for board of directors and senior management of the enterprise
Strategise and execute corporate planning cycles and sessions for internal & external stakeholders
Collaborate closely with and support senior management to identify, envision, formulate action plans and realise business opportunities and goals
Gather, analyse and organise information by conducting industry research and present the findings to key stakeholders
Collaborate closely with senior management teams and internal departments for alignment of strategic projects to expand social impact in the group
Capable of sourcing, extracting, analysing and synthesising information for senior management, and where needed, propose insights accordingly
Monitor progress of strategic initiatives and Group KPIs with key stakeholders
Develop strategic proposals on new / potential offerings
Facilitate and track the implementation / adoption of new / potential offerings. Initial stages may require more hands-on involvement and partnership with other stakeholders as part of change management process
Plan and organise project reviews including timeline management, stakeholder engagement, meeting coordination and tracking of project progress and deliverables


Job Requirements:
A recognised degree in Business, Economics or Engineering
Postgraduate professional qualification such as MBA will be preferred
Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience in corporate planning, innovation, change management, project management and process improvement. Experience in the education sector will likely be useful but is not a prerequisite for this role.
Strategic-minded, hands-on and thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Strong stakeholder management skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Excellent analytical, advocacy and project management skills, capable of managing multiple concurrent projects across business areas
Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional team members
Strong team player with effective consensus building skills
Proficiency with Google Productivity Suite, such as Slides, Sheets and Docs
Knowledge of LEAN / Six Sigma / AGILE / design thinking methodologies preferred
