JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Employee Central, you will lead a team to provide overall management of the HR Payroll function, leave and benefits within the organisation.  You will be responsible, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Oversee and lead the payroll team to manage payroll, leave and benefits for more than 6,000 employees, including processing, resolving errors, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure effective control measures are in place, with processes and computations in compliance with all statutory laws and regulations e.g. MOM, CPF, IRAS.
  • Oversee and manage Employee Central Payroll system, Leave and Benefits modules in SuccessFactors to ensure smooth and seamless operations. 
  • Simplify, re-engineer and automate processes to drive efficiencies, reduce complexity and achieve cost effectiveness while ensuring a balance between optimization and employee experience. 
  • Manage both internal and external payroll audits and ensure follow through on findings and control measures. 
  • Manage and support in grant verification and provision of statistics / reports where required.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless payroll processing, leave and benefits management, and effective internal communications. 
  • Lead, coach and inspire the team to drive continuous improvement and service delivery excellence through effective processes, workflows and technology. Serve as an escalation point to resolve complex issues for team members. 
  • Foster teamwork, coach, and provide effective feedback within the team. 
  • Participate and/or lead any other ad-hoc projects/tasks as and when required 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Business, Finance or any related discipline with at least 8 years of payroll management experience for more than 1,000 headcount in a local or regional setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of direct reports.
  • High level of attention to detail with excellent organisation skills; ability to effectively plan and manage work in accordance with timelines.
  • Excellent skills in both verbal and written communication; able to interact and communicate with stakeholders and employees at all levels.
  • Positive and flexible attitude; high degree of integrity and professionalism; ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Proactive problem-solver who can demonstrate initiative and independence with good analytical skills and passionate about identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. 
  • Strong team-player who can establish positive relationships and work effectively and collaboratively with individuals across HR and at all levels.
  • Working knowledge of compliance in the areas of local payroll, CPF and Income Tax legislations.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and related HR/Payroll systems will be preferred
