Payroll Processing and Statutory Compliance
- Support monthly payroll processing for employees, including full-time, part-time, and contract staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Assist in computing salaries, overtime, allowances, bonuses, and deductions, including final payments for departing employees
- Participate in statutory compliance activities by assisting with tasks related to CPF contributions, SDL payments, IRAS tax filings and adherence to company policies
- Stay informed of changes to employment laws, tax regulations, and government subsidy schemes to ensure ongoing payroll compliance.
- Assist in preparing payroll-related reports and summaries
Employee Data, Benefits and Claims Management
- Maintain and update employee payroll data in HR systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Administer employee benefits and process claims for government subsidies and grants, such as maternity leave, childcare leave, NS claims
- Participate in audits and reconciliation tasks under supervision, contributing to data integrity and error resolution
Process Improvement and Digitalization
- Collaborate with team members on the identification and implementation of payroll process enhancements to improve operational efficiency
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Contribute to the adoption and implementation of digital tools and technologies for payroll optimization
Employee Support and Query Resolution
- Respond to employee queries related to payroll, such as salary calculations, tax deductions and benefits, escalate more complex issues to payroll lead or senior team members as needed
- Support the investigation and resolution of payroll discrepancies promptly
Education and Experience
- Diploma in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- ITE Higher Nitec with 2 years of experience in payroll processing, including handling government claims and subsidies
Skills and Attributes
- Adequate knowledge of employment laws, tax regulations, and statutory compliance requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; adept at Excel and Google Sheets
- Attention to detail and meticulous
- Good organizational and time management skills, able to manage tight deadlines
- Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity and discretion
- Adaptable to evolving business needs, technology and regulatory changes
