Payroll Processing and Statutory Compliance

  • Support monthly payroll processing for employees, including full-time, part-time, and contract staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Assist in computing salaries, overtime, allowances, bonuses, and deductions, including final payments for departing employees
  • Participate in statutory compliance activities by assisting with tasks related to CPF contributions, SDL payments, IRAS tax filings and adherence to company policies
  • Stay informed of changes to employment laws, tax regulations, and government subsidy schemes to ensure ongoing payroll compliance.
  • Assist in preparing payroll-related reports and summaries

Employee Data, Benefits and Claims Management

  • Maintain and update employee payroll data in HR systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Administer employee benefits and process claims for government subsidies and grants, such as maternity leave, childcare leave, NS claims
  • Participate in audits and reconciliation tasks under supervision, contributing to data integrity and error resolution

Process Improvement and Digitalization

  • Collaborate with team members on the identification and implementation of payroll process enhancements to improve operational efficiency
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Contribute to the adoption and implementation of digital tools and technologies for payroll optimization

Employee Support and Query Resolution

  • Respond to employee queries related to payroll, such as salary calculations, tax deductions and benefits, escalate more complex issues to payroll lead or senior team members as needed
  • Support the investigation and resolution of payroll discrepancies promptly

Education and Experience

  • Diploma in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • ITE Higher Nitec with 2 years of experience in payroll processing, including handling government claims and subsidies

Skills and Attributes

  • Adequate knowledge of employment laws, tax regulations, and statutory compliance requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; adept at Excel and Google Sheets
  • Attention to detail and meticulous
  • Good organizational and time management skills, able to manage tight deadlines
  • Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity and discretion
  • Adaptable to evolving business needs, technology and regulatory changes
