Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for the overall well-being and holistic development of B20 low-income children at designated Targeted Enhanced Resourcing Model(TERM) centers and build good relationships with TERM families to foster trust and cooperation.

  • Provide support for at-risk families, which includes: 

    • Identify and prioritize TERM children and families based on monthly preschool attendance.

    • Participate in case conferences to collaboratively address challenges and develop tailored support plans.

    • Assist in conducting home visits to better understand the family and provide targeted assistance. 

    • Assist families in navigating and applying for relevant subsidies, financial assistance, and support programs.

    • Link up families with relevant community resources.

  • Work closely with Principals, Teachers, and other Child Support Services (CSS) colleagues to align and integrate support efforts for TERM children and families and establish connections between the preschool center and community partners to enhance attendance support delivery when necessary.

  • Achieve TERM’s KPI for all supporting centres. 

  • Timely submission of required reports and maintain accurate updates on the prescribed case management systems

  • Narrate case stories which highlight the positive impact of the Child Support Model (CSM) on the lives of TERM children and families.

  • Any other duties and projects assigned by the reporting officer.

 

Job Requirements:

Education

  • Recognized Degree in sociology, social work, psychology, early childhood education, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a pre-school or social service sector for diploma holders will be required.

  • Fresh graduates with relevant degrees may apply.

Personal Attributes 

  • Passionate about supporting low income children and families. 

  • Willingness to work under supervision and learn.

  • Team player with a willingness to contribute effectively.

  • Good spoken and written English. Ability to speak alternative mother tongue languages will be preferred.

  • Displays initiative and can work independently while also being a team player.

  • Maintains discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
