As part of the English Curriculum and Professional Development Team, a Pedagogist will play a critical role in capability building and uplifting Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) professional and pedagogical learning across NTUC First Campus (NFC)’s ECCE fraternity to derive better child outcomes.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Coach Centre Core Teams to drive quality in design, implementation and evaluation of curricula, programmes and teaching approaches. 

    • Translate curriculum knowledge into teaching and learning practices aligned to national frameworks and the Singapore Pre-school Accreditation Framework 

    • Engage teachers in reflective practice to enhance the quality of teaching and learning practices in the centre 

    • Integrate knowledge of learning styles and developmental needs of children to support children’s learning and development 

    • Advise and support Centre Core Teams in the implementation of strategies for a quality learning environment.

  • Build collaborative and professional partnerships with Centre Core Teams to to cultivate a culture of professional sharing about teaching, learning and classroom management strategies within a centre

  • Deepen professional competencies of educators through content development for professional development, conducting of training and facilitation of professional dialogue across the fraternity.

  • Support and inform curriculum development and reviews with observations of teaching and learning practices across centres. 

 

Job Requirements:

Education

  • Degree or Master in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE)

 

Experience

  • 8 years of experience in early childhood sector, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a leadership role

 

Personal Attributes 

  • Demonstrated ability to train, mentor and coach early childhood teachers and leaders 

  • Motivated individual with willingness to take initiative

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively 

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
