As part of the English Curriculum and Professional Development Team, a Curriculum Specialist will play a critical role in capability building and uplifting Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) professional and pedagogical learning across NTUC First Campus (NFC)’s ECCE fraternity to derive better child outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Develop curriculum and produce curriculum resources and lesson materials for children 0 to 6. Write age and developmentally appropriate curriculum, resources and lesson materials for children that build the foundation for NFC’s desired child outcomes

  • Ensure quality of curriculum implementation by taking reference to frameworks to guide curricula reviews; participating in pilot, prototype or implementation of curriculum initiatives in centres; and monitoring, evaluating and reviewing review curriculum implementation in partnership with Pedagogists

  • Build professional competencies of pedagogists and educators in curriculum implementation by facilitating professional and learning communities; developing content for professional development modules; and facilitating training to equip pedagogists and educators with skills and strategies for curriculum implementation

  • Build collaborative and professional partnerships to support enhancements to structures and processes for curriculum development, reviews and implementation.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree or Master in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) with relevant infant/toddler certifications
  • At least 8 years of experience in early childhood sector, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a leadership role; prior experience in curriculum development preferred 

  • Experience in overseeing infant care centres and in curriculum development for children aged 0 to 3 

  • Experience in curriculum development for children aged 4 to 6 

  • Demonstrated ability to translate curriculum theories to practice 

  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement 

  • Strong analytical skills 

  • Motivated individual with willingness to take initiative

  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively 

  • Good verbal and written communication skills 

  • Deep interest for developments of ECCE trends
